On April 14, 2014, Anarchy Arcade failed to raise the money needed to buy a resale license. This meant I was unable to take out a loan to pay additional team members to help develop AArcade. It also meant that I would not be allowed to earn any money off of selling AArcade in any way.

However, Anarchy Arcade is so awesome that I decided to continue pouring hours & hours into development so I could release it onto Steam myself.

In order to achieve this, I had to cut out lots of great features from the design plans. In fact, I had to throw out over 4 entire months of development that I was doing on the commercial version and fall back to the prototype code just to finish the project in time by myself.

However, after 6 months of non-stop work on Anarchy Arcade, it is now already on Steam as an Early Access title and is set for a full Steam release on Christmas, 2014!

There have been many big feature updates since AArcade has been in Early Access on Steam, including HUGE improvements to multiplayer and a full-featured Steam Workshop where you can share absolutely anything with everybody else! Libretero support was added recently, which lets you play certain emulators and entire video files directly on the in-game walls!

However, I am running out of time to keep working on AArcade. This is because every hour that I spend working on AArcade is an hour that I don't make any money.

I do love working on AArcade and giving it away to everybody to enjoy for free, but my living expenses can't be lowered any more than they already are, so in order to keep development of AArcade going strong I have started a 2nd attempt at a Kickstarter campaign.

If this Kickstarter is successful I will continue working on AArcade full-time for an additional month. There is also a stretch goal where I bring on one of the talented 3D artists from Double Action Boogaloo to work on AArcade with me for this extra month. And if the Kickstarter is extra successful and reaches it's final stretch goal, development will be extended 2 additional months.

Anarchy Arcade is something I have done all of the programming for myself. I have also done all of the web design, writing, and most of the artwork; both 2D and 3D.

However, several other artists also donated their talents to help make the playable prototype a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
